Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Everything you need to know about ATS compatibility, regional photo rules, client-side privacy, and free PDF export.

1. Is the Digitac Solution Resume Builder completely free to use and export PDFs? +

Yes. The Digitac Resume Builder, engineered by Lead Developer Chandan Ji at Digitac Solution (digitacsolution@gmail.com), is 100% free. You can author your resume, switch across all 6 ATS-friendly templates, customize colors and alignments, and export print-perfect, watermark-free PDFs as many times as you like without any credit card or subscription paywall.

2. How does Digitac Solution protect my privacy if there is no login or database? +

We use a strict 100% client-side architecture. Your contact details, work history, uploaded profile photo, and styling preferences are saved exclusively inside your own web browser's localStorage. Zero personal resume data is transmitted to external cloud databases or third-party servers. You can also export your resume as a portable JSON backup file or clear your browser storage at any time.

3. Should I include a profile photo on my resume for India, Canada, the US, the UK, or Australia? +

It depends on your target country! In India (en-IN / hi), including a crisp, professional headshot is common and welcomed for many corporate, MBA, and campus roles—so our builder defaults the photo toggle ON for Indian locales. In the United States (en-US), Canada (en-CA / fr), the United Kingdom (en-GB), and Australia (en-AU), HR departments strongly discourage photos on resumes to comply with anti-discrimination laws—so our builder automatically defaults the photo OFF for those locales. You can manually override the toggle at any time with one click.

4. Are Digitac Solution PDF exports genuinely ATS-safe for Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, and Naukri? +

Yes. Many visual builders fail ATS screening because they rasterize your resume into a flat image or scramble DOM text order. Digitac Solution exports a true UTF-8 vector text layer with semantic heading tags (H1, H2, H3), standard section labels, and linear reading order, achieving 98.9% to 99.9% parse compatibility across Workday, Taleo, Greenhouse, Lever, SAP SuccessFactors, iCIMS, SEEK, and Naukri RMS.

5. Can I write my resume in Hindi or Canadian French as well as English? +

Absolutely. Our multi-language i18n architecture supports English across five regional locales (en-IN, en-CA, en-US, en-GB, en-AU), Hindi (हिन्दी - hi), and Canadian French (Français - fr). Switching the language in the top navigation bar translates the UI, template section headers, meta tags, and role suggestions while allowing you to type or paste resume content in any Unicode script.

6. Can I reorder sections or hide sections I don't need (such as Awards or References)? +

Yes. All 10 resume sections (Contact Info, Summary/Objective, Work Experience, Education, Skills, Projects, Certifications, Languages, Awards, and References) can be freely reordered via drag-and-drop or keyboard up/down controls, and optional sections can be toggled on or off with a single checkbox.

7. Why does the builder provide curated color palettes instead of an open color wheel? +

Open color wheels frequently lead to low-contrast neon text or clashing hues that fail WCAG accessibility checks and look unprofessional to hiring managers. Instead, each of our 6 templates provides 5 curated, job-appropriate accent colors (such as Forest Green #4F7A4F, Deep Slate #1E4E68, and Warm Charcoal #2E2A22) plus curated header alignment and 1- or 2-column layout switches.
